Hello friends. Welcome to my blog. Green Light Eating is about encouraging and supporting a whole food, plant based, no salt, oil or sugar way of eating. That’s right! Clean green eating.
You may be thinking this way of eating is boring, bland and unsatisfying. That couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, plant based cooking using the right herbs and spices is exciting and darn right delicious.
I shy away from using terms like vegan and vegetarian. You can be vegan and still have a very poor diet. French fries are made from potatoes which is a vegetable right? But the fact they are fried in grease makes them unhealthy. Frozen vegan meatballs is not meat right? But the fact that they are highly processed and made in food labs makes them unhealthy and even darn right scary.
There are oodles and oodles of evidenced based studies on the healing properties of whole foods and their disease prevention and even curative abilities. It is my goal to inspire you through informative articles, personal stories, culinary tips and mouthwatering recipes. Please follow me on my journey towards improved physical and mental health. I sincerely hope my journey becomes your journey.
Only you have control over your health and what you eat. Your pantry and spice rack is your pharmacy and your kitchen is your personal chemistry lab. You are the chemist. What you create is completely up to you!
